Medicare Supplements
Medicare supplement plans are standardized by the government and cover all or most of the health costs that Medicare doesn’t cover. These plans allow you to see any doctor, hospital or provider that accepts Medicare. We represent most of the major carriers in the US and can help you understand and evaluate your options.
02
Part D - Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage is a US government subsidized program. It is available through private insurance carriers that are contracted by Medicare and available as a stand alone plan or included in a Medicare Advantage plan. Part D plans can only be purchased during certain times of year and you must have a Part D drug plan, or other creditable coverage, when you become eligible in order to avoid a late-enrollment penalty.
03
Part C - Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are a type of Medicare health plan that is offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare. Plans provide all your Part A and B benefits and are paid for by the insurance company and not Medicare. These plans often offer additional benefits and prescription drug coverage. They offer HMO (Health Maintenance Organization), PPO (Preferred Provider Organization), PFFS (Private Fee-for-Service) and SNP (Special Needs) plans. Plans are available based on your location and not all play types are available in all areas. We represent all the major carriers and can help you determine whether an Advantage plan is right for you.

Medicare Part A & B
Medicare is a national health insurance program administered by the Center for Medicare Services and seniors aged 65 and older or certain qualified types of people under 65 are eligible to enroll. Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing and hospice care. Part B covers medical services like doctor visits, labs, outpatient procedures and tests, vaccinations and limited chiropractic. Medicare Parts A & B are obtained through the Social Security Administration either online or through your local office.
Individual Health Insurance
01
Individual & Family
For those who are not eligible for a subsidized government plan or covered by an employer health plan, there are a few major medical insurance plans available, depending on where you live. This health insurance typically covers routine doctor’s visits, prescription drug coverage, preventative care and hospital or emergency treatment which can help prevent catastrophic expenses in the event of a health event or accident. We can help you determine the best option available in your area. Contact us to determine if you are in a Special Enrollment Period, or during Open Enrollment for a quote or help enrolling.
02
Short Term Medical
If you are between jobs, unable to qualify or afford individual coverage or COBRA or can’t wait for the Open Enrollment Period, short-term insurance plans provide temporary coverage with limited benefits. While these plans are not qualified health plans under the Affordable Care Act they are an affordable option.
04
Supplemental
A supplemental health insurance plan provides added medical coverages that help pay costs that are not covered by your basic health insurance plan. These can be purchased to contribute to paying for the cost of your deductible or coinsurance in the event of an accident, serious illness or hospitalization.
Examples of supplemental plans include coverage for cancer, heart attack, stroke, accidental injuries, and hospitalization for illness or injury.
Most insurance plans do not cover dental or vision for adults, but there are many standalone dental and vision plans available. Dental plans include those with no waiting periods, where you can choose your own dentist and some cover implants and orthodontics. Vision Insurance can help cover exams, glasses and contact lenses with thousands of providers including private practices and major chains.
05
Since the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), often referred to as the ACA, residents of the US have the availability to purchase private health insurance using either the federal marketplace or one of the state exchanges. The plans found on these exchanges allow consumers who qualify to purchase subsidized health plans and pay for them using an advanced tax credit. Enrollment in a plan is restricted to an Open Enrollment Period in the fall or with a Special Enrollment Period due to specific life events during the rest of the year.

Fixed Benefit (Indemnity) Insurance
06
Indemnity health plans allow you to choose the doctor, hospital or service provider of your choice, covers many common health expenses and have very affordable rates. These plans pay a fixed amount for covered services and can pay the benefit directly to you. These are not qualified health plans under the ACA (Affordable Care Act) but can help provide protection against the high cost of medical expenses.
Group Health Insurance
01
Small Group Health Insurance
Small group health insurance is available to businesses with 1 to 50 employees and can be purchased at any time of year. In most locations the major carriers like BCBS, Aetna and United Healthcare offer both PPO and HMO options that are increasingly more cost effective than individual plans.
Group dental, vision, life and disability are also available through the group carriers or on a stand alone basis.
02
Partial Self-funded
Small business owners can access the benefits of having a self-funded plan without the additional risk. Partial self-funded plans allow you to save money by contributing part of the premium towards your claims and part towards your stop-loss insurance. Smaller claims are paid from your claims account and larger claims by the carrier. Premiums can be significantly less expensive than traditional small group health insurance.
